Australian Federal Police Operations Medal
The Australian Federal Police Operations Medal (AFPOM) is a prestigious decoration intended to acknowledge the exemplary service of both current and former members of the Australian Federal Police involved in special operations.
Design
The medal is made of antique silver-nickel alloy. The obverse features the Federation Star overlayed with the AFP Platypus, surrounded by the words 'AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE OPERATIONS MEDAL'. The reverse is plain.
Ribbon
The accompanying ribbon features stripes of various shades of blue, white, and gold.
If you order your medal unmounted, the medal and ribbon will be supplied as separate components. Miniature medals will be supplied with 15cm of ribbon and full size medals will be supplied with 30cm of ribbon.
