HMAS Sydney III Limited Edition Medallion buy now from the military specialists and remember you were there. This limited edition medallion features HMAS Sydney (III), the Royal Australian Navy's first purpose-built fixed-wing aircraft carrier. She distinguished herself in both the Korean War and later as a fast troop transport during the Vietnam War. The medallion's reverse features the image of HMAS Australia (I) as used on the 1913 commemorative coin to mark the fleet's first visit to Sydney.
Minted from brass alloy and finished in highly polished and frosted silver with a gold plate RAN badge it measures 50mm in diameter by 4.5mm. The medallion is enclosed in a sturdy clear protector and set in a quality leatherette case. Only 250 individual medallions are available. Comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity and a short bio on the ship of the same name.
