The Spectacular Sands of Gallipoli 2006 release Infantry Limited Edition Medallion is a truly remarkable piece from the military specialists. This medallion pays tribute to the Australian and New Zealand infantry who fought side by side at the Landing, forging unbreakable bonds of mutual respect. The Australian infantry's heroic actions at the Landing Krithia and Lone Pine, where they suffered heavy casualties and were awarded seven Victoria Crosses, are well-known. Meanwhile, the New Zealand infantry's capture and defence of Chunuk Bair on 8 August, overlooking the Dardanelles, was a pivotal moment in the battle. Only 5,000 sets of this extraordinary medallion will ever be released.
