Description

This distinguished medal set comprises the National Emergency Medal with the North Queensland Flood 2019 clasp, along with the Australian Defence Medal (ADM), both meticulously court mounted for presentation.

The National Emergency Medal, a respected Australian accolade, is presented to those who have rendered notable service during specific national emergencies. The North Queensland Flood 2019 clasp is an integral addition that specifically honors the remarkable service and contributions made during the catastrophic North Queensland Floods in 2019. This clasp is a testament to the valiant efforts of individuals involved in the response and recovery efforts, including those who served as part of organized teams or as independent volunteers.

The Australian Defence Medal (ADM) recognizes Australian Defence Force members who have completed their initial enlistment period or served for four years, whichever is shorter. This medal is a tribute to the ongoing commitment and service of both regular and Reserve members of the ADF.

Collectively, these medals showcase a broad spectrum of service, from responding to significant national crises like the North Queensland Floods in 2019 to dedicated, long-standing service within the Australian Defence Force. They serve as a significant recognition of the dedication, courage, and sacrifices made by Australian service members.

Unmounted Medals

If you order your medal unmounted, the medal and ribbon will be supplied as separate components. Miniature medals will be supplied with 15cm of ribbon and full size medals will be supplied with 30cm of ribbon.

It is mandatory for active members of the Australian Defence Force to have their medals court mounted, as it is considered the appropriate method of presenting military honours in a professional and respectful manner. By doing so, the medals are given proper recognition and are displayed in a neat and organized fashion.

This mounting style was commonly used for medals from the Boer War up to and including World War II, although there are no fixed guidelines or regulations regarding its use.
