If youre looking for a sleeping bag with lots of functionality, this item may just suit your needs! I purchased this bag and was impressed by its many practical features. This warm, compact and fairly lightweight sleeping bag is Olive Drab in colour (a darker shade on the nylon base) It comes with a sturdy nylon 4 strap Olive Drab compression sack with drawstring closure. The nylon strapping sewn onto the base of the sack acts as a grab handle making it easier to carry or deploy the bag from its cover. Unlike some bags, it was NOT a struggle to stuff the bag back in its cover. The rugged, water resistant base is a nice addition & will prolong the life of the bag if it happens to slip off your sleeping mat if you move around throughout the night. Theres tough nylon material sewn into the inside of the foot box, reinforcing it, so you can wear your boots inside the bag (if necessary) without fear of damaging it. This protective feature makes cleaning mud or soil, brought in by your boots, easier to clean off from the inside of the bag. 2 drawstrings located around the hood & neck can be cinched closed to help retain body heat. Theres a baffle that runs the length of the 3/4 zip to prevent body heat from escaping through the zip. The feature I specifically bought it for was the mosquito net. This net is completely removable and can be zipped on or off as required. In my opinion, a small zippered pocket/compartment for net storage (when it’s not in use) would be a small additional design feature this sleeping bag would benefit from. Overall, I rate this sleeping bag very good value. The price is quite reasonable. It’s my opinion that this bag, although slightly larger when compressed, is warmer, has many more features and has a superior stuff sack compared to other “jungle” (mosquito net) type sleeping bags on the market.
